Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
This one semester (13-week) program prepares students to give basic nursing care through classroom and clinical experiences. Students will learn how to perform important skills to support patients in acute and long-term settings, with an emphasis placed on how to care for the elderly. This program meets the requirements and prepares students to take the State Certification Exam. Career pathways include continuing your education to become a Licensed Vocational Nurse or Registered Nurse.

Certified Nursing Assistant Requirements
- Classes held Monday/Tuesday/Wednesdays 7am-10:15am, Saturdays 7am-1:30pm. **100% attendance is required
- All interested students must attend the CNA Information Session held via Zoom. Date TBD
- Be at least 16 years old (parental consent required if under 18)
- Be able to read, write, and understand English
- Pass a physical exam
- Proof of negative TB
- Proof of immunizations (MMR, Varicella, TDaP, COVID-19, seasonal Flu)
- Pass a criminal background check as required by the California Department of Public Health (CDPH)
- Current CPR through the American Heart Association
- Social Security number (SSN) or Individual Tax ID Number (ITIN) required for State testing
